Hello! I am Juanita Schulze aka Mrs. David's Garden Seeds®. Welcome to my heirloom seed site. I am very happy you dropped by. My husband, David, started a business ten years ago selling garden seeds. He has a small storefront that I am in charge of. When customers come in, they want to talk to David or someone who knows about seeds. In the new building, David is in the back most of the time, running the company. I started telling customers that I am Mrs. David's Garden Seeds® and it sort of stuck. Everytime we do a garden show or a seminar, I introduce myself the same way and folks seem to like it.
David sells a lot of seeds--vegetable, fruit, flower, herb, cover crop, and some grain seeds. They can be Organic, Heirloom, Open-Pollinated, and Hybrid seeds. Here on this site, we will list only the Heirloom Seeds that are sold on David's Garden Seeds®.
Heirloom Seeds are good quality seeds that have been around for at least 50 to 75 years. They consistently grow the same tasty, nutritious produce, season after season. They are valuable to gardeners because they are the seeds we can depend on to grow flavorful fruits and vegetables. They do not change from year to year. Think about it--Heirloom items in your family, like an antique dish or a beautiful piece of framed art, get passed down from generation to generation because your family members think the items are important and worth saving. Heirloom seeds are saved and passed down for the same reasons. Once you find a seed variety that produces exceptional produce that tastes great, you make a note of it and save some of the seeds from your crop to use the next year.

A unique specialty cucumber. Cute, one inch long long fruits look like
miniature watermelons and taste like cucumbers with citrus and tangy
overtones. Vines start growing slowly but can get up to 10 feet long.
Can be eaten fresh or pickled. Also known as the Cucamelon and Mouse Melon. Not particularly high yielding. Trellising recommended. Harvest in about 70 days. NOTE: We
recommend harvesting these cucumbers promptly as they tend to get seedy
if allowed to grow longer than 1 inch.

Since this website is a part of David's Garden Seeds®, our seeds are Non-GMO as well. We would never grow food produced with GMO seeds to serve to our children and grandchildren, and neither should you. You can trust us to provide good quality Non-GMO seeds that are heirlooms.
If you are interested in our new homestead and eventual home of David's Garden Seeds, check out our brand new website, Mrs. David's Garden Seeds®. We should be closing on our land in August of 2019 and we hope to move there shortly thereafter, or as soon as utilities are hooked up. No one has ever lived on the property so nothing is there but good sandy soil that has been used for farming. The acreage was part of a farm that has been divided. We have been working on it for over a month now but things take time out in the country.
